The Communities In Schools of Puyallup’s, March Gladness Leadership Team decorated Christmas trees for Life Care Center of Puyallup, Washington, in early December 2016.
For the second year in a row, approximately 25 students volunteered to decorate the facility’s Christmas trees.
“This group of leadership kids does all kinds of volunteering around the community,” shared Cyndi Anderson, business development director. “They learn how to lead and help select projects. The first year, I submitted our project for consideration, but this year they picked us again because they had so much fun the first time.”
The associates at Life Care Center of Puyallup were grateful for the help of the students as they transformed the facility for the holidays.
“The vision of March Gladness is to encourage students to make community service a part of their lives,” shared Jan Mauk, executive director of Communities in Schools of Puyallup. “Decorating trees at Life Care Center of Puyallup is a project the March Gladness leadership team looks forward to every year. They love being able to share in holiday cheer with the residents.”
